Explore Sarasota
Sarasota is a charming Gulf Coast town that blends laid-back beach vibes with a vibrant food and arts scene. The city's cultural roots trace back to the Ringling family of circus fame, whose legacy helped shape Sarasota into an arts destination.
Beyond the white-sand beaches and turquoise water, you'll find a mix of waterfront restaurants, casual bars, and more elevated dining. Most of the action centers around two areas: downtown Sarasota and St. Armands Circle — both lined with restaurants, shops, and relaxed vibes.
Below are some of our favorites.
Things to Do
- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
Florida's official state art museum set on a 66-acre bayfront estate, with 21 galleries housing over 10,000 works including European Old Masters and contemporary art.
- Ca' d'Zan
The opulent 56-room Venetian-inspired winter mansion of circus magnate John Ringling, completed in 1926 on Sarasota Bay and open for tours on The Ringling campus.
- Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
A personal favorite of Tyler's! The world's only botanical garden dedicated to epiphytic orchids and bromeliads, spread across 15 bayfront acres with stunning tropical greenhouses and rotating art exhibits.
- St. Armands Circle
A charming open-air shopping and dining district on Lido Key with over 130 boutiques, restaurants, and galleries — steps from the beach.
- Ritz-Carlton Beach Club
A private beach club on Lido Key available to hotel guests. Great way to relax and enjoy the Gulf before or after the weekend!
Breakfast
- Buddy Brew Coffee$
A specialty craft coffee roaster from Tampa with a cozy downtown Sarasota outpost serving lattes, cold brew, pour-overs, and pastries.

A family-owned health-conscious cafe with smoothies, cold-pressed juices, wraps, and plant-forward dishes with vegan and gluten-free options.
Lunch & Dinner
